Dear friend,
Last
month, the United States Preventative Services Task Force
announced new guidelines for breast cancer screenings. This
abrupt change in guidelines has left many women in Texas
confused about their health.
This
Monday, December 7, Texas First Lady Anita Perry will host a
special event to discuss these changes and affirm Texas'
commitment in the fight against breast cancer – and you're
invited!
We
hope you will be able to attend the event and rally with Mrs.
Perry to support breast cancer screenings and protect Texas
women!
When: Monday, December 7.
Where: Texas Capitol, South
Steps.
Time: 1:15 p.m.
Governor and Mrs. Perry are committed to protecting
and improving the health of women in Texas. The First Lady
firmly believes that early detection of breast cancer saves
lives.
Please join us at the Texas Capitol to show
your support. No RSVP is required and friends are
welcome.
Parking is available at the Capitol Parking Garage at
San Jacinto and 11th Street, complimentary for two hours. In
case of inclement weather, the press event will move to the
Governor's Press Conference Room on the second floor of the
Capitol, Room 2S.2. Capitol guards can direct you
upstairs.
Thank
you for your support, and we look forward to standing with you
on Monday.
Sincerely,
Ramona
