Thank your Members of Congress for Saving Lives!
Thank your Members of Congress for Saving Lives! With your help, we worked relentlessly to make sure Congress reauthorized the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program. And March 29, 2007, our hard work finally paid off!
Dear [ Decision Maker ] , As a constituent, I am writing to express my gratitude for the passage of the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program. As you know, the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (NBCCEDP) is a vital program to help ensure that low-income women have access to high-quality breast and cervical cancer screening. It significantly reduces health disparities, particularly among racial and ethnic minority populations who represent approximately half of all women screened through the program. I am truly thrilled that Congress approved the reauthorization of the program through fiscal year 2012. Screenings are so important for early detection, and early detection saves lives!
